Change of Scenery

Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to inspire the words to flow from your fingertips. I started this blog almost 2 years ago. I have come back to it time and time again to write something I thought was profound, something I felt was life changing, something I believe needed to be said. And each time I would get less then a paragraph deep and erase every word.

I lost my passion. I lost my focus. I lost my love of the written word. Or so I thought.

But in actuality, I didn’t lose anything. The passion for writing got buried deep below what my life had become. A flurry of upset, disappointment, change, excitement, laziness, happiness, adventure, busyness, anxiety, and other occupied thoughts. I wasn’t able to channel anything into one cohesive thought, therefore I didn’t even try.

But alas, there’s been a shift. My desk has come out of storage. I have given it a home under a small window in my craft room. A window that I can open and allow the spring breeze to gloss over me with whispers of the good things to come.

Not all was lost, it was a change in scenery I needed. A change in my thoughts. A change in how I wrote and why I wrote. And now I am ready.

I am ready to write from a place of knowing. I am ready to take care of my self. To feed my soul.

Care to join me on this journey?
